Although some of us earn more than others, we at MLC are everyday, working-class people who have common issues and worries about money. We aspire to become novelists, actors, filmmakers, artists; we work our day jobs to pay the bills and hopefully help us be able to fulfill our dreams. Some of us have some debt, some of us have decent investment portfolios, all of us have gone through hard times and learned from them. We are all here to share our money life experiences. And we hope that you will share yours with us as well.
Mind you, this is not the place to give or get tips on what stocks or mutual funds to buy but instead we’ll give you our thoughts on what we think are common sense investments. We’re not here to tell you what to do with your cash (we believe the best person to take care of and make decisions about your money is you), but relay to you what has worked for us.
But if you have some tidbits of info about how to save, stretch or spend money, let’s all pull up a chair and have a little coffee-talk. Got a tip on how to save money on groceries? Is there a deal on clothes somewhere that we all should know about? Are there restaurants out there that don’t require you to have a stock portfolio before ordering? Is there a better way to say” I love you” during the holidays other than re-mortgaging your home in order to buy presents? We’d love to hear from you!
We’re based in Vancouver, BC and although we may make reference to many local Vancouver locations and events, most readers who live in urban areas in North America can probably benefit from reading our posts and interacting with us.
