Margarita Hobbes

“It is my belief that life should be lived the way one wants to live it. Life should be enjoyed regardless of what your bank statements say or how much money you have in your wallet. A rich, full life can be attained with less than we think.”

While not looking for the best money-saving deals, Margarita can be found at her desk writing sci-fi and kids stories, experimenting with paint, and thinking up wacky inventions. But sometimes she can be found bungee jumping and exploring caves somewhere, or sampling goodies at local food markets or hanging out at a cafe’.

As for work, Margarita has had a varied career. Her job titles have included: Editor and Administrator of an online magazine; Interactive Designer of media presentations; Marketing & Publicity team member working with filmmakers and the creators of the documentary film ‘The Corporation’ and The National Film Board of Canada.

Julianne Sauvage

Julianne Sauvage works for a large corporation in Canada, but by taking public transit and economizing, she manages to keep her work week under 25 hours.   She enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her husband and friends.   If she were ever shipwrecked on a tropical island, she would hope to wash ashore with a mask and snorkel and a crate of paperback novels.  Oh, and a case of rum, if the island had lime trees and mint leaves. Mojitos, you know.

Mimi

Everyone has a love/hate affair with money, including the private and somewhat reclusive, Mimi. If you’re looking for a great coffee shop, a cool cheap form of entertainment and a fun, but reasonably priced evening, Mimi’s your gal. Taught how to stretch her dollar by parents who put her on a strict budget in University, Mimi loves to enjoy life more than she loves to accumulate things and she wants to share how to do exactly that…. on that budget her parents insisted she learn about.
